HUNTING CLOSED FOR THE 2024 SEASON
At Alem we actively manage our hunting environment and have made a decision to suspend hunting activities for this year. This unfortunately is necessary due to the devastating effects that occurred as a result of the drought and excessive heatwaves we experienced during the latter part of 2023.
We believe that this decision, although unfortunate for our hunters, will have a positive effect on our animal population and growth. We hope to welcome you back for the 2025 hunting season and will update the website with details in January 2025.
Our Kameeldoring Bushcamp however remains open this year for non-related hunting activities, including birdwatching, family breakaways and bushwalks.

General Rules
1. RESERVATIONS
The person that made the reservation is responsible for making sure that all fees are paid in full.
2. DAMAGES
Please report any damage to equipment / kitchen utensils /linen etc.
3. HOT WATER
Hot water is provided by using a “Donkey”. Staff will make a small fire in the “Donkey” which is sufficient. Please do not add any wood or make the fire bigger as it will burst the water pipes. No children are allowed to add wood at any time
4. USE WATER SPARINGLY
Use water sparingly. All water is p umped directly from the Mokolo river. Do not drink tap water or do so at your own risk.
5. THANKS FOR NOT LITERING
Thanks for not littering. Place all rubbish in bins provided. Do not burn any rubbish in the campfire.
6. MATRESSES AND BLANKETS
Matresses and blankets etc. are not permitted around the fire.
7. FIREWOOD
Only one load of firewood will be provided per stay.

1. NO HUNTING UNLISTED ANIMALS
No hunting of any unlisted animals or gamebirds. Only pre-arranged animals may be hunted.
2. SAFETY
Keep weapons safe at all times.
3. WOUNDED ANIMALS
Any wounded animals will be paid in full.
4. NO HUNTING FROM VEHICLES
No hunting from vehicles is permitted and no hunting is allowed within 150 m from any of the four waterholes.
5. HUNTING IS ONLY PERMITTED IN DAYLIGHT
Hunting is only permitted in daylight. All carcasses should be delivered at the coldroom for skinning before 18h00 every day.
6. USE OF ALCOHOL & SMOKING
The use of alcohol and smoking are prohibited during hunting in the veld.
7. LITTERING
Please refrain from littering while hunting.
8. NO REMOVING PLANTS / EQUIPMENT / FIREWOOD
Please do not remove or damage any plants or equipment or collect firewood from the field.
9. INFRASTRUCTURE & DAMAGES
Damage to any part of the infrastructure in the hunting areas will be levied from the responsible hunter. Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with the location of the watering point infrastructure.
